Terms for practitioners and patients.
Deiz is published by Audren Bouëssel du Bourg, a sole trader. It provides professionals with management software and patients with online services related to their care. In these terms, “patient” also means a person booking or paying on behalf of a beneficiary, for the actions that person carries out.
The sections relating to patients govern their use of Deiz, including without a personal account. Provisions relating to professional accounts, the free and Pro plans, integrations and professional exports concern practitioners. Security, availability and liability rules apply to each party according to their role.
Consultations take place under the practitioner’s responsibility. Deiz provides the technical means for booking, communication and payment; the publisher does not provide the consultation or determine its clinical indications. The service does not replace clinical judgment or the obligations specific to the practitioner’s profession.
These terms are supplemented by the privacy policy, the patient data notice (in French) and, for processing carried out on the practitioner’s behalf, the DPA (in French). Personal data information and payment authorization each serve their own purpose and do not, on their own, constitute acceptance of all contractual terms.
Using Deiz as a patient.
Depending on the features enabled by the practitioner, patients can view availability and prices, request or book appointments, receive reminders, pay for a consultation, save a card, access documents or questionnaires and join a video consultation.
Patients provide accurate information and contact details at which they can receive relevant messages. When acting for a relative or a minor, they must have the necessary authorization or legal capacity and correctly identify the beneficiary. Technical access to a booking does not relieve the practitioner of checking the authorizations needed for care.
Everyone agrees to use the service in good faith, keep their access links confidential and refrain from making fictitious bookings, impersonating another person or attempting to access someone else’s data.
Booking, rescheduling or cancelling an appointment.
Before confirming, the patient checks the practitioner, beneficiary, consultation type, location or remote modality, date, time and displayed price. Availability may change until confirmation. Joining a waiting list does not constitute a confirmed booking.
When an additional step is required, such as saving a card or making a payment, the patient must follow the instructions in the booking process to establish the status of their booking. Opening a payment page or starting to enter a card does not prove that the step has been completed.
Patients agree to attend their appointment or notify the practitioner as soon as possible. The booking process currently reminds patients to give at least 48 hours’ notice. That reminder does not, by itself, establish a fee or authorize a charge.
To change or cancel an appointment, patients use the options available through their appointment link or portal. If the action is no longer available or a technical issue occurs, they contact the practitioner directly. Not receiving an email or SMS reminder does not cancel the appointment.
Consultation terms are set by the practitioner.
The practitioner sets their prices and consultation terms in accordance with professional rules and applicable law. They may set their own terms concerning payment methods, cancellation deadlines, any fees and refunds.
The practitioner is responsible for communicating these terms before the patient commits, obtaining acceptance where necessary and keeping evidence of it. They may communicate them directly, for example in a document given or sent to the patient. Deiz does not currently offer a dedicated feature for uploading customized terms and collecting acceptance during booking.
The practitioner’s terms govern their relationship with the patient; these terms of use govern use of the platform. The practitioner’s terms do not change Deiz’s obligations. None of these terms can exclude mandatory protections applicable to patients.
A late cancellation or missed appointment does not automatically make a fee payable merely because Deiz is used. The practitioner must be able to substantiate the terms communicated and accepted, the amount requested and compliance with applicable rules. Any changes to their terms must be communicated to the patient before the commitments concerned.
Paying for a consultation or saving a card.
Amounts requested for consultations or any fees concern the relationship between the patient and practitioner. They are separate from the professional Deiz subscription. The practitioner remains the patient’s contact for explaining an amount, providing necessary supporting documents and handling refund requests.
Payment is processed by the provider offered during the process, such as Stripe, Mobupay or Stancer depending on the configuration. Patients check the amount and currency before authorizing the transaction. Their bank may apply its own fees or currency conversion rules. The relevant provider’s terms govern its payment service and supplement the information presented during the process.
Saving a card and paying are separate operations. When the process states that no amount is charged when saving the card, that step prepares the card for later use and may require bank authentication.
The authorization requested when saving a card covers payment for consultations and any late cancellation or missed appointment fees under the terms communicated and accepted. A later charge may take place without entering the card again; the bank or provider may nevertheless require additional authentication.
Consent to saving a card does not acknowledge every amount claimed or accept practitioner terms that have not been communicated. The practitioner must verify the basis and amount of every charge.
Patients can ask the practitioner to remove their saved card and stop using it for new charges. Removal does not refund transactions already completed or erase an amount validly owed, which may be paid through another method agreed with the practitioner.
In a dispute about payment, cancellation or a refund, patients contact the practitioner. For a technical problem relating to Deiz, they may also contact the publisher using the details below. These steps do not deprive patients of recourse through their bank, payment provider or competent bodies.
Portal access, documents and privacy.
Appointment, payment, questionnaire and document access links are personal and may have a limited validity period. Patients should avoid forwarding them and protect their email accounts and devices. They report suspicious access to the practitioner or Deiz.
The documents and questionnaires available depend on what the practitioner shares. Patients retain the documents they need; permanent availability in the portal is not guaranteed. If a link expires or access is difficult, they can ask the practitioner to send it again.
For video consultations, patients need a compatible device, a sufficient connection and a private location. If the consultation is interrupted, they contact the practitioner to agree how to continue.
The patient data notice (in French) explains processing, recipients and how to exercise rights. The practitioner is the contact for care-related data; Deiz may be contacted about processing under its own responsibility and for technical support.
Professional account, access and data protection.
- The practitioner provides accurate information and keeps their contact details up to date.
- They protect their sign-in methods, passkeys, password and devices.
- They do not share a named account with an unauthorized person.
- They promptly report suspicious access or loss of a device.
The vault is created with managed protection by default, using an encrypted key recoverable after authentication. The practitioner can enable personal protection: the master password is then not sent to Deiz, and losing all recovery methods may make the protected data irrecoverable.
Scope depends on the features used.
Features visible in the interface may depend on the country, billing jurisdiction, plan, rollout phase or activation of a provider. An integration is operational only if its prerequisites are met.
The practitioner remains in control of decisions about public availability, messages, documents issued, payment rules, synchronization, video consultations and regulatory submissions.
Deiz may fix, change or remove a feature, in particular for security, compliance, provider compatibility or service quality. Substantial changes are announced through an appropriate channel.
Free plan, Pro plan and external costs.
Current limits and prices are displayed on the page for the practitioner’s country. The Pro plan has no minimum commitment unless otherwise stated when subscribing. Cancellation takes effect according to the billing cycle displayed by the payment provider.
Some services incur separate costs or provider fees, such as SMS, payments, advance payments or third-party subscriptions. When billed by Deiz, these costs and terms are displayed in the interface before the action.
Stripe may process the Pro subscription. Patient payments are described under Payments and saved cards. The provider used depends on the practitioner’s configuration and the process offered.
Connecting an invoicing platform.
When the integration is available, the practitioner can choose SuperPDP or Pennylane in Deiz settings. They authorize connection to the relevant company and check billing information before issuing invoices. Only one of these platforms can be connected at a time.
SuperPDP is included in Deiz Pro at no extra cost for transmissions within the supported regulatory scope. Pennylane requires a separate account with the permissions needed for the integration. Any subscription is taken out with Pennylane and is not included in Deiz Pro; that provider’s terms apply to its service.
Connecting to Pennylane constitutes an instruction to export new invoices and credit notes issued in Deiz, including invoices for individuals and those exempt under Article 261. Invoices marked paid in Deiz are marked paid in Pennylane; this does not apply to credit notes. Invoices issued before connection are not imported automatically.
Export to the Pennylane account and regulatory transmission are separate operations. For an invoice exempt under Article 261, Deiz exports the document to Pennylane without requesting transmission to the approved platform. A successful export does not prove regulatory acceptance of an invoice. Deiz does not submit e-reporting declarations through its Pennylane integration.
The practitioner checks transmission statuses and any errors, and verifies payment corrections in Pennylane. Disconnection suspends subsequent exchanges, subject to an operation already in progress; it does not delete invoices already received, close the Pennylane account or cancel its subscription. Transmitted data remains subject to that provider’s retention rules and tools.
Fair use of the free plan and Google booking.
The free plan is intended for using Deiz as an appointment management tool within the stated volume limits. Free access to Reserve with Google accompanies that use; it is not intended to provide a standalone Google booking service for a practice managed primarily in another calendar.
Keeping Deiz mainly to benefit from the Google booking button while deliberately entering the same practice’s other appointments in another tool to keep the volume recorded in Deiz artificially below the free threshold constitutes circumvention of the free plan’s terms. Complementary use of other tools does not, by itself, constitute a breach.
When concrete evidence indicates such use, Deiz informs the practitioner of the reasons and allows fifteen days from that notice to respond or adjust their use. If that use is confirmed and continues after the deadline, Deiz may make access to Reserve with Google for the account concerned conditional on an active Pro subscription.
This measure concerns only the Reserve with Google integration. It does not result in an automatic subscription, retroactive billing or deletion of existing appointments or data. The practitioner retains access to their plan’s other features. The appearance or removal of the button remains subject to Google’s processing times.
The practitioner retains professional responsibility.
In particular, the practitioner agrees to:
- process only necessary data and have an appropriate legal basis;
- inform patients at the appropriate time and respond to their requests;
- respect professional confidentiality and restrict access to authorized people;
- check documents, amounts, taxes, identities and recipients before sending anything;
- comply with the rules of their profession, jurisdiction and tax system;
- not use Deiz for unlawful, fraudulent or abusive activities or activities that harm third parties;
- make backups and exports needed to meet their own archiving obligations.
Deiz may suspend access in the event of a security risk, fraud, manifestly unlawful use, non-payment or serious harm to the service, informing the user where possible.
Listing and searches by AI assistants.
Enabling your profile’s listing also allows it to be discovered by assistants and applications compatible with Deiz’s MCP (Model Context Protocol) server. This exposure requires no additional MCP activation and covers all professions, regardless of professional title or registration in a professional directory.
MCP allows searches of your public booking information and slots open to new patients, according to your settings and the requested criteria. It does not access patient records or create appointments. Availability is indicative and is checked again when the person continues booking on Deiz.
You can disable listing in your profile settings. Your profile is then excluded from new MCP searches, even if the page remains accessible through its direct link. This does not automatically delete responses or copies already retained by a third-party service.
Third-party assistants apply their own terms and privacy policies. The data involved and recipients are detailed in the privacy policy. The MCP documentation (in French) describes how search works.
Third-party features have their own rules.
Depending on the practitioner’s choices, Deiz may rely on AWS, Cloudflare Turnstile, Google, Infomaniak kMeet, Stripe, Mobupay/Monext, SuperPDP, Pennylane, Sentry or Grafana Cloud. Their roles and the data transmitted are detailed in the privacy policy.
- Google Calendar and Reserve with Google are optional for the practitioner.
- kMeet is used only when a video consultation is opened.
- Stripe or Mobupay is used when the corresponding payment process is used.
- SuperPDP is used only for a requested and eligible electronic invoicing transmission.
- Turnstile protects certain public interfaces against bots.
Deiz does not guarantee permanent availability of a third-party service or continuity of an API changed or discontinued by its provider. Where possible, users can disable an integration in their settings.
Maintenance, interruptions and security.
Deiz takes reasonable measures to ensure service availability, integrity and security. However, uninterrupted or error-free availability cannot be guaranteed.
Maintenance, network incidents, updates, attacks, configuration errors or provider failures may temporarily disrupt access. Deiz aims to limit the duration and consequences of these interruptions.
Practitioners must maintain arrangements allowing essential practice operations to continue during temporary unavailability.
Export, cancellation and account closure.
Practitioners can cancel their subscription and request account closure. Before closure, they are responsible for using the available exports to retrieve the data and documents they need.
Exports do not necessarily cover all internal representations or third-party services. The practitioner must check the results before requesting deletion.
After closure, Deiz deletes active data according to its technical process and backup rotation cycle, subject to legal obligations applicable to its own documents and evidence. Data already sent to a third party is also subject to that party’s rules.
Liability limited to the publisher’s role.
Deiz is responsible for its obligations as publisher and, for patient records, as processor within the scope of the DPA. The practitioner remains responsible for professional decisions, data entered, instructions given and documents approved.
To the extent permitted by law, Deiz is not liable for damage resulting from incorrect information entered by a user, use contrary to these terms, loss of personal recovery methods, a third-party service or a professional obligation not met by the practitioner.
No provision limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Changes, governing law and contact.
These terms may change to reflect the service, security, a provider or applicable law. The version date appears at the top of the page. Substantial changes are communicated to affected users through an appropriate channel, obtaining acceptance where necessary. Publication of a new version does not, by itself, constitute acceptance or create a retroactive payment obligation for patients.
These terms are governed by French law, subject to any applicable mandatory rules. The parties first seek an amicable solution before taking legal action.
